Dear Parents, Don't Just Invest Money – Invest Your Time Too!
In today’s busy world, every parent wants the best for their child. You send them to good schools, buy books, notebooks, pens, school bags, even pay for extra classes. That’s wonderful. It shows how much you care about their future.
But let me gently remind you—education is not only about money.
It’s also about your time, your attention, your presence.
Children may not always remember which pen they used in class or how much the tuition fee was. But they will always remember who sat beside them when they were stuck while reading. Who helped them learn a tough spelling. Who praised them when they read even two lines without mistakes.
As a teacher, I see this every day. Some students struggle not because they don’t have good books, but because no one has time to sit with them.
Just 15–20 minutes of your time each day can make a big difference.
Here are some simple ways to invest time:
Ask your child: “What did you learn today?” and really listen.
Sit beside them when they read or do homework.
Let them teach you what they learnt—it builds confidence.
Play simple word or number games together.
Tell them stories from your childhood—they love it!
Remember, your child needs you more than anything else.
Let’s raise not just educated children, but happy, confident, and strong children—together.
Warm regards,
Me as a parent genuinely appreciate and it acts as a gentle reminder of what my duties and responsibilities towards my child.
